Legal basis
– Law on Tourism No. 09/2017/QH14 dated June 19, 2017, effective from January 1, 2018.
– Circular No. 06/2017/TT-BVHTTDL dated December 15, 2017 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism detailing a number of articles of the Law on Tourism. Effective from 1st February 2018.
Conditions for health care service fulfilling the standards of serving tourists
(1) Having business registration and ensuring business conditions for health care services as prescribed by law;
(2) There is a place to receive and send personal belongings;
(3) Having rules and procedures in Vietnamese, English and other languages (if necessary); have facilities and equipment suitable for each type of health care service;
(4) Having medical staff, technicians, service staff suitable for each health care service;
(5) Employees have civilized and polite service attitude; wear uniforms and nametags on their shirts;
(6) Posting the price, selling at the listed price and receiving payment by card issued by the bank;
(7) Have clean, well-ventilated and well-lit toilets.
Procedure and time for implementation
First, about the dossier:
(1) An application form for a signboard meeting standards for tourists (Form No. 10, Appendix II issued together with Circular No. 06/2017/TT-BVHTTDL dated December 15, 2017);
(2) The commentary meets the standards of serving tourists.
Second, about the procedure:
Organizations and individuals providing health care services may voluntarily register for recognition of standard healthcare service establishments with competent state agencies.
- Submit the application file at the Provincial Public Administration Center (in person or by post) or to the Provincial Public Administration Center to be provided and guided to prepare the dossier according to regulations;
- Receive the receipt of the application and make an appointment to return the results;
- Based on the time stated in the application receipt and the appointment to return the results to the Provincial Public Administration Center to receive the results.
Third, about the competent state agency: Department of Tourism.
Fourth, about the processing time: 10 working days from the date of receiving the valid dossier.
