CONDITIONS FOR OBTAINING A VETERINARY PRACTICE CERTIFICATE
- An individual may be granted a Veterinary Practice Certificate if they satisfy the requirements regarding professional qualifications and health conditions appropriate to the relevant type of veterinary practice in accordance with law.
- Depending on the type of veterinary practice, the applicant must possess an appropriate professional diploma or a certificate confirming completion of relevant professional training.
- Where the professional diploma does not specify the relevant specialization, the applicant must provide an additional document certifying the specialization issued by the educational institution.
- For foreign nationals, in addition to satisfying the above requirements, the applicant must hold a Work Permit or a certification confirming that they are not subject to the requirement to obtain a Work Permit in accordance with regulations.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The application dossier for a Veterinary Practice Certificate includes:
- An application form using Form No. 01.HNTY in Appendix IB issued together with Decree No. 32/2026/ND-CP;
- A professional diploma or a certificate confirming completion of appropriate professional training for the relevant type of veterinary practice;
- Where the professional diploma does not specify the relevant specialization, a document certifying the specialization issued by the educational institution;
- A health certificate;
- For foreign nationals, a Work Permit or a certification confirming that they are not subject to the requirement to obtain a Work Permit.
COMPETENT AUTHORITY
The applicant shall submit the application dossier to the authority assigned by the Chairman of the provincial-level People’s Committee to handle administrative procedures in the fields of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.
PROCEDURES
Step 1: Preparation and Submission of the Application
The applicant seeking a Veterinary Practice Certificate shall prepare a complete application dossier in accordance with regulations and submit it to the authority assigned by the Chairman of the provincial-level People’s Committee to handle administrative procedures in the fields of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.
Step 2: Review and Issuance of the Certificate
Within 05 working days from the date of receipt of a valid application dossier, the competent authority shall review the application and decide whether to issue the Veterinary Practice Certificate.
If the Certificate is not issued, the competent authority shall provide a written response stating the reasons for refusal.
PROCESSING TIME
The processing time for obtaining a Veterinary Practice Certificate is 05 working days from the date of receipt of a valid application dossier.
