Cases that need to be quarantined

According to the provisions of Article 37 of the Law on Veterinary Medicine 2015, the following animals must undergo quarantine according to regulations: Animals and animal products included in the List of terrestrial animals and animal products subject to compulsory quarantine. Quarantine before being transported out of the province must be quarantined once at the place of departure for the following cases:

• Animals and animal products originating from collection and trading establishments;
• Animals and animal products originating from livestock establishments that have not been monitored for diseases;
• Animals that have not been vaccinated or have been prevented by vaccines but no longer have protective immunity;
• Animals and animal products originating from establishments that have not been recognized as disease-free;
• Animal products originating from preliminary processing or processing establishments that have not been periodically inspected;
• Animals and animal products that do not fall into the prescribed cases but at the request of the owner of the goods.

Animal Quarantine Order

• Organizations and individuals, when transporting animals and animal products, register for quarantine;
• Within 01 working day from the date of receiving the quarantine registration, the local veterinary specialized management agency shall decide and notify the organization or individual registering for quarantine about the location and time of inspection. Translate;
• Contents of quarantine include clinical examination, diagnosis, and testing.
• Within 05 working days from the date of commencement of quarantine, if the quarantine requirements are satisfied, the local veterinary specialized management agency shall issue a Certificate of quarantine; in case it takes more than 05 working days or the quarantine certificate is not granted, the local veterinary specialized management agency shall notify and reply in writing and clearly state the reason.
