Forms of registration of plant protection products

– Official registration, including:

• Plant protection products containing active ingredients, not on the List, or plant protection products with new combinations in proportions and ingredients of active ingredients already on the List, which are patented by organizations or individuals in the country. foreign and has been registered for use abroad;

• Plant protection products containing active ingredients already on the List but registered with a different trade name.

Plant protection products allowed to be registered and circulated in Vietnam

• Plant protection products containing active ingredients are not included in the List of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam.
• Plant protection products containing active ingredients are already on the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam but bearing different trade names.
• Plant protection products with trade names on the List of plant protection products permitted to be used in Vietnam but with the addition of the scope of use, dosage, usage, drug form, active ingredient content, or a mixture of new medicine.
• Plant protection products containing active ingredients on the List of plant protection products restricted from use in Vietnam to disinfect warehouses and yards; preserving non-food and medicinal forest products; except for the harmful effects of construction works.

Process of granting the certificate of registration of plant protection products

Step 1: Organizations and individuals submit dossiers to the Plant Protection Department.

Step 2: Receive and check the validity of the application within 02 working days.

Invalid dossiers shall be returned and requested to supplement and complete dossiers.

Step 3: Appraise the application for the Certificate of registration of plant protection drugs within 10 working days.

The dossiers

• An application form for a certificate of registration of plant protection drugs made according to the form;
• A copy of the issued testing license;
• Samples of drug labels;
• The original of the biological potency test results;
• The original of the test results to determine the isolation period;
• The original report summarizing the test results according to the sample.
