To register an electronic transaction account with the tax authority, there are the following ways:
Option 1: Taxpayers register online and go directly to the tax office for approval and activation of an electronic tax transaction account.
- Accordingly, the taxpayer accesses the link https://canhan.gdt.gov.vn/, and the taxpayer chooses “Register”. Taxpayers enter the tax code used to register an account. In it, enter the correct test code displayed on the screen. If entered incorrectly, the system will give a warning: “The verification code is not correct. Please re-enter!”. The user selects “Personal” if the entered MST belongs to an individual or ticks and “Organization” if the entered MST belongs to an organization. Then, taxpayers click “Register”.
- Next, the taxpayer enters the phone number, email, and confirmation code. If the confirmation code has not been issued by the tax authority, the confirmation code information is blank. In case the confirmation code has been issued by the tax authority, taxpayers are required to enter the information in the Confirmation code field. If incorrect information is entered, the system will display a warning: “Invalid confirmation code. Please re-enter the confirmation code!”. After entering all the information, the taxpayer clicks “Continue”.
- The system displays “Declaration of registration of transactions with tax authorities by electronic method” – form No. 01/DK_TĐT, NNT checks the information and clicks “Complete registration”. In case the taxpayer has the confirmation code of the tax authority, the system will notify the completion of registration and send the notification form 01/TB-TTT to the email box and send the login password to the registered phone number of the taxpayer.
- In case taxpayers do not have a confirmation code of the tax authority: The system gives a notice “For information security, please go to the nearest tax office to complete the registration (need to bring ID card / ID card). citizen identification/passport)”.
- Taxpayers come to the tax office, provide tax identification numbers to the tax officers, and provide the tax officers with phone numbers and email addresses (if any) for the tax officers to confirm their accounts. The taxpayer receives the registration form 01/DK-TDT printed by the tax officer from the application, checks the information and signs the registration form and sends it to the tax officer.
Option 2: Register an electronic tax transaction account through the National Public Service Portal in case the individual already has an account on the National Public Service Portal
- Accordingly, taxpayers log in to the National Public Service portal, then go to the function “Online payment” > “Personal tax payment/Registry” > “Personal tax declaration”. The taxpayer enters the information “Register for a personal account”
- In it, the tax code will be automatically displayed according to the MST from the National Public Service Portal. In case the MST information is not displayed, the taxpayer is required to enter the MST information. After that, the NNT correctly enters the check code on the screen. If incorrect input, the system displays a warning for NNT to perform again. The user selects “Personal” if the entered MST belongs to an individual or ticks and “Organization” if the entered MST belongs to an organization. Next, taxpayers click “Register”.
- NNT checks and enters information at the screen displaying “Personal account registration information”. In case the NNT’s identity card/citizen identity card registered with the National Public Service Portal is different from the identity card/citizen identity card according to MST information, the system displays a warning: “ID card number /citizen identity does not match between the National Public Service Portal and the information of the tax authority. Request taxpayers to change information with tax authorities” and not allow taxpayers to register.
- In case the identity card/citizen identity of the taxpayer registered with the National Public Service Portal matches the identity card/citizen identity according to Tax ID information: The system automatically displays the Tax ID information, Personal name, Province/city of residence, ID card, Tax authority managed by Tax ID information. At the same time, the system automatically displays the phone number and email address according to the information of the National Public Service Portal; If there is no Email, please ask the taxpayer to enter the information. NNT clicks “Continue”.
- Then, the system displays “Declaration of registration of transactions with tax authorities by electronic method” – form No. 01/DK_TĐT, taxpayers check the information and click “Complete registration”. The system displays the message “You have successfully registered an account”. At the same time, the taxpayer received a text message on the phone number MST information and account password are as follows: “You are using the bar, earphone: “MST”, “MK” :xxx”. Finally, taxpayers log into iCanhan system, change password and perform electronic transactions with tax authorities.
Option 3: Taxpayers register directly at the tax office
- Taxpayer submits the Declaration Form 01/DK-TĐT and personal documents such as ID card or citizen identification card at the One-Stop Department, the tax officer checks the information on the declaration against the attached documents. . In case the information (Phone number, E-mail) is complete and valid, the tax officer will create and send electronic transaction account information to the taxpayer via the phone number and email address registered by the taxpayer.
- In case taxpayers declare missing information (Phone number or E-mail), tax officers generate and issue confirmation codes to taxpayers. NNT uses this confirmation code to complete the registration procedure. The system requires entering the confirmation code that the taxpayer has received from the tax authority. The taxpayer enters the confirmation code issued by the tax authority. The system sends account information, passwords to the phone number and email address that the taxpayer has registered.
